A new Israeli-controlled checkpoint at Route 443 in the West Bank on the outskirts of Jerusalem on may 28, 2010. Route 443 had been closed off by Israel to Palestinian vehicles since 2002 after a series of shooting attacks on Israeli vehicles. The Israeli Supreme court issued an order allowing Palestinian drivers to start using certain parts of road 443 starting today.
